SINGAPORE, Aug. 25 (Xinhua) -- Singapore stocks finished lower on Friday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) dropping 12.59 points, or 0.38 percent, to close at 3259.57.
A total of 1.70 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 988.4 million Singapore dollars (about 726.67 million U.S. dollars). Gainers outnumbered losers by 211 to 195.
The STI index went up 12.11 points, or 0.37 percent, to close at 3272.16 Thursday.
