WASHINGTON, Aug. 23 (Xinhua) -- The White House said on Wednesday that U.S. President Donald Trump will meet with Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak here next month.
The two leaders will meet at the White House on Sept. 12 and discuss ways to "strengthen and broaden" bilateral relationship and expand regional cooperation, said a White House statement.
The meeting will come amid a U.S. Justice Department's criminal investigation into 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB), a Malaysian state fund founded by Najib, over misappropriation allegation.
