HANOI, Aug. 22 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam is deeply concerned about and strongly condemns continuous terror attacks in Europe with the most recent being a knife attack against civilians in Finland, a Vietnamese spokesperson said here on Tuesday.
"We offer our condolences to the government and people of Finland and the bereaved, and believe that the terrorists will be properly punished," said foreign ministry spokeswoman Le Thi Thu Hang.
The knife attack in the Finnish city of Turku on Aug. 18 killed two people and injured eight others. No Vietnamese citizens were victims of the deadly attack, the spokeswoman cited the Vietnamese Embassy in Finland as saying.
The Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs has ordered the embassy to continue monitoring the situation in Finland and be ready to support any Vietnamese people who face difficulty.
