CAIRO, Aug. 17 (Xinhua) -- Egypt strongly condemned on Thursday the van attack that left at least 13 people dead and dozens injured in the Spanish city of Barcelona.
Egypt fully supports the Spanish government and people in challenging terrorism, Egyptian Foreign Ministry said in a statement, adding that such attacks cannot break the will of governments and people to uproot terrorism.
The North African country offered condolences over the death of the victims, wishing a speedy recovery for the injured.
At least 13 people were reported dead and dozens others injured when a man driving a van at high speed ran over crowds at Barcelona's famous Las Ramblas tourist area Thursday.
