BISHKEK, Aug. 16 (Xinhua) -- Kyrgyzstan President Almazbek Atambayev and visiting Uzbekistan Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov discussed vital issues of bilateral cooperation, on Wednesday, the Kyrgyz President's press service reported.
Atambayev stressed a great contribution of Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the Kyrgyz-Uzbek cooperation and expressed confidence that Aripov's visit will give a new impulse to the development of bilateral cooperation.
Aripov said his country is ready to continue to pursue a course aimed at strengthening the relations of friendship and good-neighborliness between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.
The Uzbek Prime Minister arrived at Bishkek for a working visit to participate in meetings of the Intergovernmental Commission on bilateral cooperation and the Intergovernmental Commission on the delimitation and demarcation of the state border between the two countries.
