JOHANNESBURG, Aug. 10 (Xinhua) -- The Congress of South African Trade Unions (Cosatu) on Thursday called for the establishment of a Judicial Commission of Inquiry by the country's President Jacob Zuma in the next four weeks.

The labor federation also called for the dismantling of the networks of those involved in the state capture. There are allegations that the rich Indian Gupta family is influencing the appointment of government officials in the country.

Bheki Ntshalintshali, Cosatu general secretary said the delay in bringing those responsible for looting state resources is damaging the country.

"Judicial Commission of Inquiry must identify all other parties involved in state capture and they should be blacklisted and all contracts entered into with predatory elite's network must be terminated and monies spent in these deals must be recovered," said Ntshalintshali.

Cosatu threatened that if their demands are not met they will embark on rallies, demonstrations, marches, stay away and shut down the economy. Cosatu will officially submit their demands on Aug. 15 in a meeting with government and business. Enditem
