BUCHAREST, Aug. 10 (Xinhua) -- Around 1,000 kg of liquid egg yolks that were contaminated with the insecticide Fiproni were seized in the western county of Timisoara, local sanitary veterinary and food safety department announced Thursday.
The egg yolks shipment, coming from Germany, was seized on Wednesday and were taken to the warehouse where they had been distributed. No quantity of the product had yet been sold, according to the department.
The contaminated liquid egg yolk will be incinerated.
