GUIYANG, Aug. 7 (Xinhua) -- A new airport, named after China's national liquor Moutai, will officially open in September in southwest China's Guizhou Province, said Moutai Group on Monday.
Moutai Airport, featuring a liquor culture exhibition hall, is located in Moutai Township, Renhuai City. The airport plans flights to cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Chengdu and Kunming.
At a cost of 2.4 billion yuan (360 million U.S. dollar), construction of the airport has taken five years.
The first test flight took place on June 22.
