FRANKFURT, July 31 (Xinhua) -- German shares lost on Monday, with the benchmark DAX index down 44.45 points, or 0.37 percent, to close at 12,118.25 points.
German global banking and financial services company Deutsche Bank lost the most among the blue chips, down by 2.07 percent, followed by industrial giant Thyssenkrupp and Automotive manufacturer Volkswagen, which lost 1.54 percent and 1.43 percent respectively.
German personal-care company Beiersdorf, energy group RWE and consumer goods company Henkel were the top three winners, rising 1.91 percent, 1.57 percent and 1.22 percent respectively.
Chemical group BASF was the most traded share of the day with a turnover of 302.72 million euros (354.99 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
