SINGAPORE, July 31 (Xinhua) -- Singapore stocks finished lower on Monday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) dropping 1.23 points, or 0.04 percent, to close at 3329.52.
A total of 2.79 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 1.37 billion Singapore dollars (about 1.01 billion U.S. dollars). Gainers outnumbered looser by 226 to 210.
The STI index went down 23.96 points, or 0.71 percent, to close at 3330.75 last Friday.
