SKOPJE, July 27 (Xinhua) -- As the Macedonian health authorities are working to determine the cause of two deaths on Wednesday, the health ministry reported three new cases of an undiagnosed disease on Thursday.

"Another three persons from the Gostivar village of Simnica (southwest of Macedonia) have been admitted to the Clinic for Infectious Diseases with high fever, diarrhea, vomiting," Deputy Health Minister Goce Cakarovski told reporters.

Cakarovski said that besides this, there were also four others who had the same symptoms but their conditions were not life threatening.

Two people, a father and a son, died Wednesday at the Clinic for Infective Diseases in Skopje after suffering from symptoms of an undiagnosed illness. Health authorities suspect a contagious disease, but are waiting for the results of analyses.

According to media reports, specific information as to the cause of the deaths is expected to be unveiled on Friday.
