SINGAPORE, July 26 (Xinhua) -- Singaporean stocks finished higher on Wednesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) rising 8.89 points, or 0.27 percent, to close at 3,336.72.
A total of 2.71 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 1.17 billion Singaporean dollars (about 860.97 million U.S. dollars). Losers outnumbered gainer by 272 to 175.
The STI index went up 17.03 points, or 0.51 percent, to close at 3,327.83 Tuesday.
