GAZA, July 25 (Xinhua) -- An Islamic Hamas militant died Tuesday in an accident during military training at a Hamas military post in northern Gaza Strip, the medics said.
The group said in a short text message sent to reporters that Mohamed Sherafi, 22, died during training and preparations.
Ashraf al-Qedra, spokesman of the Hamas-run ministry of health told media that Sherafi died in an accident, without giving anymore details.
Over the past few years, dozens of militants died or killed in training accidents in the Gaza Strip, most of them are members with Hamas armed wing or the less influential Islamic Jihad.
