LONDON, July 24 (Xinhua) -- British stocks decreased on Monday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index down by 1.01 percent, or 75.18 points, to close at 7,377.73 points.
Micro Focus International, a British software and information technology business, soared 1.46 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. Anglo American and Burberry Group increased by 1.19 percent and 0.55 percent respectively.
The British health, hygiene and home products producer Reckitt Benckiser Group was the worst performer in the blue chips, with its shares losing 3.27 percent. British clothing and home products retailer, Next, dropped 3.06 percent, while Provident Financial, a British sub-prime lender, fell 2.92 percent. Enditem
