HOUSTON, July 20 (Xinhua) -- Houston-based artist Adela Andea's exhibition is open to public recently. The brightly colored exhibition especially focused on lights as the medium.

Named "It's Unreal!", the exhibition provides viewers a sensory experience while looking at her work. The exhibition introduction said that since this medium does not exist alone, the artist creates one unique lightscape after another, infusing her works with new, energy efficient technology.

Andea uses LED lights and various recycled plastic materials to create the art pieces for this dazzling exhibition at an indoor space.

When look closely at the five works, viewers could see that Andea has utilized everyday materials---sometimes viewed as common disposable materials---such as light bulbs, Neon lights, Styrofoam rings, electronics, computer hard drive fans, electric cords, wires, plastic tubes...etc. to create her artwork in different geometric shapes.

The show meant to encourage visual conversations of interactions between people and new technologies.

During the exhibition, Andea said her work relies on man-made materials to create artificial environments that suggest "beauty" assigned to the natural landscapes or environments.

The art installation is free to the public until September 8.
