Toronto stock market edges down

TORONTO, July 18 (Xinhua) -- The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index edged down 15.79 points, or 0.1 percent, to close Tuesday at 15,149.57.

Seven of the index's 10 main industry groups ended lower.

Financials and industrials led the declines. But the stock market climbed off its lows for the session as higher oil prices boosted energy shares.
