Egypt's Sisi appoints new president of Helwan University

CAIRO, July 18 (Xinhua) -- Egypt's President Abdel Fattah El Sisi issued a decree Tuesday appointing Dr Maged Fahmy Negm as the new president of Helwan University.

Negm had served as acting president of Helwan University and dean of the faculty of tourism at the same university.

He had also served as dean of the faculty of tourism at the 6th of October University.

In Oman, he had worked as an expert on foreign affairs at Sultan Qabous University.
