PRAGUE, July 13 (Xinhua) -- Czech Chamber of Deputies on Thursday approved the Council of Europe's Convention on the Prevention of Terrorism.

Czech Justice Minister Robert Pelikan said the Czech law is in full harmony with the convention.

The Council of Europe has adopted this convention to increase the effectiveness of existing international texts on the fight against terrorism. The convention contains a provision on the protection and compensation of victims of terrorism.

Under the convention, the participating members are to punish public inciting to terrorism as well as the recruitment and training of terrorists and their financing.

The Czech Republic signed the convention in 2016 as the last EU member. Czech Senate approved the convention in April, 2017. Enditem
