LISBON, Portugal -- Relations between China and Portugal are at their best time in history as evidenced by strong bilateral cooperation across various fields in recent years, said China's top legislator Zhang Dejiang.

BEIJING -- China Anti-Doping Agency (CHINADA) has geared up its efforts in anti-doping education by providing 24/7 consultancy on food and drug safety issues to top sports teams.

In its latest moves to educate athletes to guard themselves against doping, the agency plans to provide each national team with a consultant who will provide individual medicine and diet advice to athletes. These consultants, all experienced anti-doping officials, will also work out education programs specific for each sport.

PHNOM PENH, Cambodia -- The China National Tourism Administration (CNTA) promoted the "Beautiful China" campaign here on Wednesday evening, aimed at attracting more Cambodian tourists to China, officials said.

Head of the Chinese tourism delegation Zhang Xilong said 2017 is the year of tourism cooperation between China and the 10-country Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), and China hopes to welcome more tourists from ASEAN including Cambodia.

PHNOM PENH, Cambodia -- The Lower Sesan II Hydropower Plant, which is Cambodia's biggest hydropower dam, will begin testing its first-phase operation on July 15 after more than three years of construction, the Electricity Authority of Cambodia (EAC) said on Wednesday.

The 400-megawatt hydropower dam, situated in northern Cambodia's Stung Treng province, is a joint venture between China's Hydrolancang International Energy holding 51 percent of the stake, and Cambodia's Royal Group and Vietnamese EVN International Joint Stock Company possessing 39 percent and 10 percent, respectively.

BEIJING -- China has become the second largest consumer of medicine in the world, as well as the world's biggest exporter of bulk pharmaceuticals, an official at China Food and Drug Administration (CFDA) said Wednesday.
