THE HAGUE, July 12 (Xinhua) -- Via chat application Telegram, Islamic State (IS) has urged lone wolves to attack the Galgenwaard Stadium in the Dutch city of Utrecht at the time of a match between England and Scotland taking place on July 19, during the Women's European soccer Championship, an intelligence group, Search for International Terrorist Entities (SITE) reported on Wednesday.

A spokesperson for the tournament organization of the quadrennial international football championship for the women's national teams of Europe told Dutch broadcaster NOS that they are in close contact with the Dutch National Coordinator for Terrorism and Security (NCTV).

"We have been informed by the NCTV, and it is seriously being looked at," said the spokesperson, adding that cancellation of the match was not discussed.

The NCTV said it is investigating the call for attack, but cannot say anything more about it at the moment.

Earlier this month, SITE reported calls by IS to attack the Wimbledon Championships in London and July 4th celebrations in the United States.

SITE works for governments and commercial clients, including media. Their researchers scan websites and discussion forums and monitor chat services.
