Vietnam send 2 athletes to athletics world championships

HANOI, July 12 (Xinhua) -- One Vietnamese man and one woman will participate in the 2017 International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) World Championships slated for Aug. 4-13 in London.

As the Vietnamese national athletics team chose to skip the world championships in order to prepare for the approaching Southeast Asian (SEA) Games, two athletes from the local military sports team will go to London instead, the Vietnam Athletics Federation said on Wednesday.
