CHICAGO, July 7(Xinhua) -- Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) grains futures closed mixed on Friday with soybean rebounding to the 10-dollar-per-bushel level for the first time since March 21.

The most active corn contract for December delivery rose 2 cents, or 0.5 percent, to 4.0475 dollars per bushel. September wheat delivery slid 4 cents, or 0.74 percent, to 5.35 dollars per bushel. November soybeans jumped 16.25 cents, or 1.63 percent, to 10.155 dollars per bushel.

Due to the persistent trend of below normal rainfall and above normal temperatures across the U.S. Midwest, funds remained mostly on the buy side of the marketplace.

CBOT brokers estimated that funds bought 8,000 contracts of corn, 7,000 contracts of soybeans, while selling 4,000 contracts of wheat.

Corn prices remained firm while soybeans broke through that 10-dollar mark after months of bearish trend.

Profit-taking continued its pressure on wheat futures, which posted losses for the second consecutive session following a week-long surge.
