TUNIS, July 6 (Xinhua) -- Tunisia signed on Wednesday a framework partnership agreement with the Principality of Monaco, to "amend and complete" the cooperation between the two countries.

This framework agreement was signed by Tunisia's Minister of Foreign Affairs Khemais Jhinaoui and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of the Principality of Monaco Gilles Tonelli, who was on an official visit to Tunis.

This framework agreement "amends and completes a cooperation agreement concluded between Tunisia and Monaco in May 2008," said Jhinaoui.

According to him, Tunisia and the Principality of Monaco agreed on the realization of a series of urgent projects for development in Tunisia, particularly in regions classified as priorities within the Tunisian development plan.

Involving the province of Kasserine and other provinces in the northeast and south of the country, these projects will include agriculture, health, environmental protection, sustainable development and education.

For his part, Tonelli insisted on the willingness to move "particularly towards the promotion of professional integration and education in Tunisia," he said after a joint working session with his Tunisian counterpart.
