RIYADH, July 6 (Xinhua) -- Saudi Arabia accused on Thursday Qatar of running 23,000 hostile twitter accounts against the kingdom, Al Arabiya local news reported.
Adviser of the Saudi Royal Court, Saud al-Qahtani, disclosed "hostile schemes" by Qatari authorities, while saying that more than 23,000 fake twitter accounts were launched by Qatar to attack Saudi Arabia.
Qahtani tweeted that "the accounts in question use the same terms, one or more times in every six tweets."
"All terms are used to attack the leadership of Saudi Arabia by the so-called Saudi dissidents, who were used in the accounts that we examined," he said.
He added that a specialized team has studied the source of these accounts, and concluded that 32 percent comes from Qatar, 28 percent from Lebanon, 24 percent from Turkey and 12 percent from Iraq.
Saudi Arabia led a number of Arab countries in cutting diplomatic ties with Qatar after they accused the later of promoting terrorism and interfering in their local affairs.
