RABAT, July 5 (Xinhua) -- The French football teams of PSG and Monaco will go head-to-head in the Moroccan northern city of Tangier for the Champions Trophy which opens the French season on July 29.
The trophy, which is played between the French Cup winner and the league champion, will be organized for the second time in Tangier.
Olivier Jaubert commercial and marketing director of the Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP) said in a press conference in Tangier the match represents a new opportunity for showing the best of French football overseas.
Jaubert highlighted Moroccan fans' passion for football, calling on them to come to celebrate French football.
Tangier hosted in 2011 the French Champions Trophy match between Marseille and Lille.
