RABAT, July 5 (Xinhua) -- The 13th forum on modernization of the public service and state institutions was held here on Wednesday with the participation of groups of ministers and top officials in Africa.

The two-day event focused on anti-corruption in African public services as a tool to implement responsible public governance.

The forum was organized by the Moroccan Ministry of Reform of the Administration and the Civil Service in partnership with the African Training and Research Centre in Administration for Development (CAFRAD).

On the side-lines of the forum, the 2nd edition of the Pan-African Public Service Awards will be delivered to encourage African countries to support the initiatives and innovative actions likely to improve public service delivery.

Prior to the forum, the 55th Session of CAFRAD Governing Board was held on July 3 and 4 in Morocco.

The session reflected on the new CAFRAD's missions in view of the major administrative changes, and on the current challenges in terms of modernising public services and governance in Africa.
