LOS ANGELES, June 30 (Xinhua) -- A twin-engine airplane crash-landed and burst into flames Friday morning on the 405 Freeway in Orange County, Southern California in west U.S., images from the scene showed.
The Cessna 310 with two people on board crashed with its nose down and landed on the southbound lanes. The two persons were being treated for major injuries, authorities said.
The plane burst into flames about 9:35 a.m. local time north of MacArthur Boulevard, about 300 meters from a John Wayne Airport runway, video from the scene showed.
The freeway was temporarily shut down in both directions, the California Highway Patrol said.
