Ceremony held to mourn victims of SW China landslide

CHENGDU, June 30 (Xinhua) -- A ceremony was held Friday to mourn the victims of a landslide in southwest China's Sichuan Province.

More than 400 people, including the victims' families, rescue teams and local officials, stood for three minutes of silence at 10 a.m. in Maoxian County.

The massive landslide hit Xinmo Village in the mountainous area of Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture early Saturday morning.

It left 10 people dead and another 73 remain missing.
