BEIJING, June 30 (Xinhua) -- The Chinese Football Association (CFA) announced on its official website on Friday that Shanghai SIPG manager Andre Villas-Boas and striker Hulk were suspended for two Chinese Super League (CSL) games after protesting against the eight-match ban for the team's midfielder Oscar.

Villas-Boas was banned for making an "irresponsible comment" on social media which made some "bad impact" after their clash against Guangzhou R&F on June 18, while Hulk was banned for wearing a T-shirt printed "NOTHING TO DO, NOTHING TO SAY" to back Oscar, after SIPG's 4-1 victory over Henan Jianye on last Sunday.

Chinese international Wu Lei also received a two-match ban for wearing a similar T-shirt to Hulk's.

The CFA also fined Hulk and Wu 50,000 yuan ($7,500) each, while SIPG received a 100,000 yuan fine and a warning over the controversy.

The CFA didn't make it clear what Villas-Boas's "irresponsible comment" was, but the former Chelsea's coach wrote on his Instagram "355 career games; 5 years in the English Premier League; 47 appearances for Brazil; 70 goals. ZERO RED CARDS!!! 8 games suspended" after Oscar's ban.

In the game of SIPG's 1-1 tie with R&F on June 18, Oscar kicked the ball onto two R&F players in succession in the last minute of the first half, which led to a mass brawl on the field, the 26-year-old then was banned for eight games by the CFA.
