MADRID, June 29 (Xinhua) -- Enzo Zidane, the son of Real Madrid coach Zidane Zidane has joined Deportivo Alaves on a three season deal according to reports in the Spanish press.
The 22-year-old midfielder, who has made only one first team appearance for Real Madrid, will spend the next three years in the city of Vitoria with the side that reached the final of this season's King's Cup knockout competition.
The excess of midfield players in the current Real Madrid squad coupled with the return of Marcos Llorente from a successful loan spell at Alaves and the possible signing of Betis midfielder, Dani Ceballos, mean Enzo had little chance of reaching the Madrid first team next season, although the club are thought to have included a buyback option in the deal.
