BRATISLAVA, June 28 (Xinhua) -- Slovakia will dispatch a civilian expert to Ukraine to cooperate in implementing the NATO trust fund, the Slovak government decided on Wednesday.

The defense advisor will be sent to Ukraine and stationed at the office of the NATO liaison officer in Kiev.

"Slovakia was asked by the office of the NATO liaison officer in Kiev to assign the expert without delay, seeing as the project in which the expert plays a crucial role has already been launched," said Slovak defense ministry spokesperson Danka Capakova on Wednesday.

Additionally, the government approved the training of Slovak soldiers at home and abroad, according to Slovakia's obligations as a NATO member country.

Also in September, Slovak servicemen will join a NATO training exercise in Poland. In October, Slovak snipers will begin training in Austria. Enditem
