LONDON, June 27 (Xinhua) -- British stocks decreased on Tuesday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index down by 0.17 percent, or 12.44 points, to close at 7,434.36 points.
Glencore, an international commodity trading and mining company, soared 3.77 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. Rio Tinto and Anglo American increased by 3.27 percent and 3.23 percent, respectively.
The Automotive and aerospace components company GKN was the worst performer in the blue chips, with its shares losing 4.31 percent.
