BRUSSELS, June 27 (Xinhua) -- The European Union (EU) regulators on Tuesday imposed a record fine up to 2.42 billion euros (2.73 billion U.S. dollars) on technology giant Google for abusing its shopping search service in breach of the EU's antitrust laws.
Google has abused its market dominance as a search engine by giving an illegal advantage to another Google product, its comparison shopping service, said the European Commission, the bloc's executive arm in a statement.
