NEW YORK, June 25 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake measuring 6.2 on the Richter scale jolted the Fiji region in the pacific at 17:42 GMT on Sunday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 38.27 km, was initially determined to be at 19.6664 degrees south latitude and 176.4629 degrees west longitude.
There were no immediate reports of damage or casualties.
