FRANKFURT, June 22 (Xinhua) -- German stocks rose on Thursday, with the benchmark DAX index up 19.74 points, or 0.15 percent, to close at 12,794.00 points.
German industrial giant Thyssenkrupp won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 4.84 percent. Pharmaceutical company Merck and automotive manufacturer Volkswagen rose by 2.21 percent and 2.00 percent respectively.
Multinational chemical firm Linde lost the most among the blue chips, by falling 1.76 percent. German multinational building materials company HeidelbergCement and chemical and consumer goods company Henkel went down by 1.51 percent and 1.01 percent, respectively.
Manufacturing and electronics company Siemens was the most-traded share with a turnover of 214.08 million euros (239.10 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
