SOFIA, June 21 (Xinhua) -- Some 6,000 soldiers from 15 countries with up to 1,200 ground military vehicles and 80 aircraft will be deployed in Bulgaria to participate in a U.S.-led drill, officials said Wednesday.
The drill, code-named Saber Guardian 2017, will be held from June 23 to July 28, the government said in a statement.
It includes a series of military exercises with the armies units of Bulgaria, United States, Georgia, Ukraine, Slovenia, Romania, Serbia, Hungary, Lithuania, Poland, Greece, Macedonia, Canada, Italy, and Portugal, the statement said.
The exercise is to be conducted in Bulgaria, Romania, and Hungary in pursuance of enhanced security measures in the Black Sea region, the statement said.
