TOKYO, June 19 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo stocks advanced Monday morning as a strong lead from late last week on Wall Street coupled with the yen's retreat against the U.S. dollar lifted the market mood and gave exporter issues a boost.

The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average added 118.93 points, or 0.60 percent, from Friday to 20,062.19.

The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, meanwhile, gained 9.69 points, or 0.61 percent, to 1,605.73.

Service, pharmaceutical and metal product-related stocks comprised those gained the most by the morning break.
