BEIJING, June 16 (Xinhuanet) -- A promotional event, organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Jilin Provincial government, was held in Beijing on Tuesday.
The event is themed “An opening China: Promising Jilin meets the world”.
More than 500 visitors attended the event, including foreign ambassadors and seniors diplomats from over 130 countries and international organizations, media representatives, representatives of world's top 500 and leading multinational corporations.
Located in the northeast of China, Jilin serves as China’s gateway to the Northeast Asian economic circle.
The event helped visitors thoroughly savor the unique beauty of Jilin, and bridged the province and the world.
The promotion is divided into five parts: "Opening Jilin”, “Vital Jilin”, “Beautiful Jilin”, “Cultural Jilin”, and “ Harmonious Jilin”.
Apart from interesting interactive activities, visitors could also try Jilin’s famous rice, mineral water, and tasty blueberries from the Changbai Mountain.
Folk arts such as paper-cuts, paper-tearing and gourd painting were also performed.
