NAY PYI TAW, June 9 (Xinhua) -- The Myanmar parliament on Friday adopted a proposal expressing sorrow over a military plane crash off the country's southern coast, according to parliament sources.

The proposal was submitted by MPs of the ruling National League for Democracy and the Union Solidarity and Development Party.

With 122 people on board, including 108 military personnel and their family members and 14 crew members, an aircraft lost contact with the ground after taking off from Myeik on Wednesday afternoon during its flight to Yangon.

Up to now, a total of 31 bodies from the crashed plane have so far been recovered at sea off southern coast of Myanmar.

The bodies, which included those of two men, 21 women and eight children, were found in the Andaman Sea near coastal town of Launglon by navy and civilian ships.

The cause of the tragedy was under investigation.
