CHICAGO, June 8 (Xinhua) -- Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) grains futures closed higher on Thursday with wheat futures nearing a two-year top on worries about hot and dry weather stressing crops in the northern Plains and Midwest.

The most active corn contract for July delivery rose one cent, or 0.26 percent, to 3.8575 dollars per bushel. July wheat delivery rose 4.5 cents, or 1.01 percent, to 4.4925 dollars per bushel. July soybeans added 7.25 cents, or 0.78 percent, to 9.38 dollars per bushel.

In the outside markets, the Brent crude oil market is 0.06 dollar lower per barrel, the U.S. dollar is higher, and the Dow Jones Industrials are 3 points higher.

Jason Roose, U.S. Commodities grains analyst, said that it remained a weather-driven market.

"Grains are continuing to add premium today, dominated by a warm dry weather forecast which is concerning to the early development of the corn and beans. The firm tone is also contributed to positioning ahead of tomorrow's U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) crop report," Roose said.

On Thursday, the USDA Weekly Export Sales Report found corn and soybean sales missed expectations.
