HOHHOT, June 3 (Xinhua) -- No casualties have been reported following a 5-magnitude earthquake that jolted north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Saturday evening, local authorities said.
The quake, with a depth of 15 kilometers, hit Alashan Left Banner, Alashan League at 6:11 p.m.
The local government confirmed the epicenter is sparsely populated. Residents in Bayanhot Township felt the tremors.
No casualties or house damages have been reported yet.
