Warsaw Food Expo 2017 opens

NADARZYN, Poland, June 1 (Xinhua) -- The Warsaw Food Expo 2017, an international event dedicated to culinary delicacies, opened up on Thursday in Nadarzyn, about 20 km southwest of Warsaw, the capital city of Poland.

Attracting around 300 exhibitors from Poland and abroad, the expo present a wide range of fine food products, including meat, dairy, confectioner, beverages and alcohols.

"Food sector is one of the most important for Polish economy," Polish Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Krzysztof Jurgiel said during opening ceremony.

"We are all well aware of the importance of promotion of agriculture. We have now access to more than 70 international market and we are happy to have international stands and exhibitors," said the minister.

During the three-day event, customers can have taste, purchase and learn food-related knowledge and information while exhibitors are presenting their novelties and solutions.
