SINGAPORE, May 29 (Xinhua) -- Singapore stocks finished lower on Monday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 2.28 points, or 0.07 percent, to close at 3,217.14.
A total of 1.76 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 669.4 million Singapore dollars (483.64 million U.S. dollars). Decliners outnumbered gainers 222 to 213.
The STI index lost 14.95 points, or 0.46 percent, to close at 3,219.42 last Friday.
