RABAT, May 27 (Xinhua) -- Morocco strongly condemned on Saturday the "abject" terrorist attack that targeted a bus carrying Coptic Christians in Egypt's Minya Province.

In a message of condolence and compassion to Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi, King Mohammed VI expressed the vigorous condemnation of this despicable act, reiterating the entire solidarity of Morocco with the brotherly Egyptian people in order to face these cowardly terrorist acts which are rejected by all religions and universal human values.

In this painful circumstance, the king expressed to the Egyptian President, and to all the grieving families and the Egyptian people, his sincere condolences, the message added.

At least 29 people were killed and 23 others injured when gunmen on Friday attacked buses carrying Coptic Christians in Egypt's southern province of Minya.
