TEHRAN, May 27 (Xinhua) -- Tehran and Moscow have signed an agreement whereby Iran will sell crude oil to Russia in exchange for non-oil products, Tasnim news agency cited Iranian petroleum minister as saying on Saturday.

"The deal has been concluded. We are waiting for the implementation from the Russian side. We are waiting for Russian oil companies to send tankers," Zanganeh was quoted as saying.

The agreement was initially reached in 2014 when Iran was under western sanctions over its nuclear energy program.

In exchange for the sale of Iran's oil both in Russia and in the international market by the Russian traders, Iran will buy essential goods and technology from Moscow, the report said without further elaboration.
