BEIJING, May 27 (Xinhua) -- Governments at all levels should step up efforts to cut red tape for companies by integrating separate business licenses, according to Chinese Premier Li Keqiang.
Integrating business certifications and licenses into one consolidated business license is a major task of business system reform and should be accomplished on schedule to reduce institutional costs for market entities and develop an international, law-based and accommodating business environment, Premier Li said in a note to a meeting held Friday.
China will also continue to promote mass entrepreneurship and innovation to develop new growth engines to power sustainable and healthy economic and social development, Li added.
Governments at all levels should speed up implementation of the reform to ensure it will be finished by October 1 with streamlined approval, better service and stronger supervision, according to Chinese State Councilor Wang Yong, who attended and addressed the meeting.
The State Council released a guideline to urge a quicker pace in integrating separate business licenses earlier this month.
Wang urged governments to implement the document by cutting unnecessary approval procedures and avoiding repetition in submitting identical registration information.
Meanwhile, supervision will be strengthened to oversee registration and post-registration procedures, and integration of the Internet with governmental services will be further boosted to improve efficiency, Wang added.
