Iran's annual urban inflation rate reaches 7.1 pct

TEHRAN, May 24 (Xinhua) -- The Statistical Center of Iran (SCI) put the annual inflation rate of the urban areas of the country at 7.1 percent, the Financial Tribune daily reported on Wednesday.

The goods and services Consumer Price Index for urban areas increased 7.1 percent in the 12-month period, ending on May 21, 2017, compared with the past corresponding period, according to SCI.

Also, the goods and services Consumer Price Index for rural areas in the one-year period increased 8.1 percent compared with the past corresponding period, the report said.
