BERLIN, May 23 (Xinhua) -- German carmaker Daimler announced Tuesday that the public prosecutor's office in Stuttgart, southwest Germany, is conducting a search of the company's premises for signs of manipulation of diesel car emissions after-treatment.
The raids are being conducted the wake of the diesel scandal surrounding German carmakers related to emission limits imposed by the European Union.
The prosecutor's investigations of illegal advertizing with regard to manipulated emissions values became known in March following raids of the premises of the Volkswagen brand Audi.
Daimler did not release any further comment in light of the ongoing investigations but cooperates with the authorities to a full extent, it said.
