LONDON, May 23 (Xinhua) -- So far 19 people have been confirmed dead, with around 50 others injured in the explosion hit Manchester late Monday night, Greater Manchester Police said in a statement released on early Tuesday.
"This is currently being treated as a terrorist incident until police know otherwise," according to the statement.
Just before 10:35 p.m. local time on Monday, police were called to reports of an explosion at Manchester Arena, where a concert was being hosted.
Manchester Arena has a capacity of 21,000 people and local media reports said it was full for the concert.
