TOKYO, May 19 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo stocks opened marginally higher Friday as Wall Street's gains overnight set a positive tone, but bold moves were avoided due to continued concerns for the course of the administration of U.S. President Donald Trump.

As of 9:15 a.m., the 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average edged up 13.13 points, or 0.07 percent, from Thursday to 19,566.99.

The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, meanwhile, inched 1.90 points, or 0.12 percent higher at 1,556.91.

Mining, securities and insurance-linked issues comprised those that advanced the most in early trade.
